I love chocolate. When Memebox released its Cacao box, it was one of the first Memeboxes I bought. When Memebox released Chocolate Mania, I figured that I had gotten plenty of chocolate skincare products in the Cacao box, and probably wouldn’t be thrilled with this one. Oh, how wrong I was. As soon as I saw this box’s contents, I knew I had to have one. That is why I was absolutely ecstatic to snag one during Memebox’s pre-Christmas restock event.
Zamian Super Gold Cacao Pack: This wash-off mask pack is formulated with gold and cacao powder—how decadent is that?! It’s meant to help improve the texture of skin, so I am excited to have this product in my skincare arsenal. I’m currently struggling with the appearance of my pores and the overall texture of my skin, and I am hoping that this pack will produce great results.
Shara Shara Tempting Avocado Chocolate Massage Cream: The combo of avocado and chocolate reminds me of a Pinterest fail I once had. I had seen beautiful pictures of chocolate pudding made with avocado—it seemed so rich, yet healthy! However, when I made it, it tasted bland and was chunky. Ugh. This cream, however, is much more exciting! It doesn’t have any gross chunks, though I can’t say anything regarding its taste. It is meant to be massaged into the skin, and then rinsed off, to help improve the tone and texture of the skin.
Neogen Code9 Gold Cacao Cream: Another product with gold and cacao—it must be a winning combination for the skin! This is a basic skin cream meant to be used after the skin has been washed and toned. In addition to gold and cacao, it contains moisturizing ingredients like olive oil and shea butter.
Missha Cacao & Cream Facial Scrub: Whenever I see this scrub in my skincare collection, I feel the urge to eat it. It reminds me of a cookies and cream milkshake, which is one of my favorite kinds of milkshakes. However, rather than cookies, it contains cacao, which helps to slough away dead skin cells and other impurities.
Skinfood Cacao Hand Balm: I’m not going to lie, I’m on hand cream overload right now. I gave away several to friends and family during Christmas time, but still have a whole drawer full. This is a neat addition to the hoard, though, as it is a balm. I’m looking forward to giving its cocoa-y goodness a try!
Dearberry Miss Mona Lisa Eyebrow in 01 Choco Brownie: I only started filling in my brows in the past year, but in that time, I’ve managed to acquire quite a few brow pencils. Since I do not fill them in on a daily basis, I don’t really need any extra pencils. That’s a good thing, because this brow pencil was actually damaged, presumably in transit. The pencil itself was loose within its casing, and had a white film on the outside, which was probably caused by temperature fluctuations. I let Memebox CS know, and they are compensating me for the pencil with Memepoints.
Binucook Cacao Choco Pie Soap: What a fun soap! It looks (and smells) like a tasty chocolate cookie! I’ll be putting this in the shower to use when I’m feeling decadent. I can’t find much info on the ingredients in this soap, though cocoa powder does seem to be a top ingredient.
Purederm Choco Cacao Collagen Mask: The final item in this box is a sheet mask that contains both cacao and collagen. As with other items that contain collagen, I did end up passing this item on to another person. However, it does sound like a great mask for firming and renewing the skin.
Overall, I am thrilled that I managed to snag this Memebox! It cost $23 before shipping, with a total value of $90. It had several items that sound great for my skin and that I am looking forward to using. What did you think of this Memebox? Would you be interested if Memebox released another chocolate-themed box? Let me know!
